Meet Matthew Joseph, City of Tumwater Stormwater Inspector! He’s passionate about clean water resources and sustainability.

The whole family is invited to join HOA Board members on his walk through the storm pond as he inspects its health. We are due for a major dredging of the sludge that accumulates. Is it too much? Not enough? What do we need to do to maintain it? Matthew knows!

Ever wonder what purpose those rocks serve around the pipes? Do you know why they shouldn’t be rearranged, even if is great fun to build with them? Curious about the noises coming from the pond? Help us keep the community water runoff area in its best working order. It good for our environment, animal life and way of life.

Matthew tells us, “I would be more than happy to meet with a large group from the neighborhood to answer questions etc- I can provide multiple custom maintenance packets to folks as well as give out other helpful resources! It’s a great opportunity to help bring HOA members up to speed about some of the things that happen in the back ground as well as why maintaining stormwater infrastructure is so important.”
